MAILBOX INFO
The W8FW-1 is a "EXPERIMENTAL"
Mailbox put on by The Miami County Amateur Radio Club. The Mailbox has
recently been upgraded, and is now on air 24/7.
The purpose of this Mailbox is to determine if there is any interest
with Packet Radio operation in Miami County.
W8FW-1 is very small and simple. The system runs 1200 baud packet
using a PK232 TNC with only 18KB RAM storage. The system transmits an
ID Beacon every 5 minutes it is on the air listening. Please let me
know if your interested in packet radio. I may consider upgrading the
system if there is enough interest.
Please feel free to send a message, or list any NTS traffic for the
Miami County area on this mailbox. Thank you and 73s, David E.
