Here you will find the Club's current monthly newsletter, which includes the previously months business meeting minutes. This letter is also mailed or emailed to current club members, and a few other area Ham clubs.
 
MCARC Meeting Minutes
5/10/2008


Meeting called to order at 7:35 by president David/KD8EIV. Those present included Gary/WB8ROL, Johnny/KA8UMW, Dave/WB8PMG, Scott/KB8JOY, Robert/KD8GEB, Chuck/KD3SQ, Jeff/KB8ZAE.

Minutes from April meeting were approved by acclamation. Thanks to Jeff/KB8ZAE for filling in as acting secretary in April.

Treasurer’s report: Beginning balance: $2403.15. Income: $1365.00 (disposal of blue bomber). Expenses: $965.00 (Clubhouse & Van Insurance). Ending balance: $2803.15. Motion by WB8PMG & seconded by KD3SQ. Motion carried by acclamation.

Committee reports:

Building & Grounds report- Heater needs repair.
 
Station/repeater: W8FW mailbox is now operating fulltime, 24/7. Exploring possibility of WinLink2000 addition to mailbox. 2 meter antenna and cable on club house tower need replacing & purchase will be made at upcoming Dayton Hamvention.
 
Vehicles: Some general discussion but no specifics concerning the bread truck.
 
PA: Discussion concerning lack-of-communication from St.Patrick’s festival. A process for finding out if our services are needed was developed. PA setup for is May 31st at 1pm with June 1st as backup.
 
Activities: Signups for public service at Strawberry Festival and West Milton Triathlon, which is June 14 at 8am.

Old Business: Field Day is June 28th & 29th combined with Piqua ARC. Site will be at Edison CC in Piqua.

Hamvention: Dave/WB8PMG brought everyone up to speed concerning the 4 spaces being confirmed, vending equipment, etc.

New Business: PA at the MC fairgrounds: Motion by Dave/WB8PMG & seconded by Gary/WB8ROL to have Scott/KB8JOY manage the PA functions at the fairgrounds on behalf of MCARC for 2008 under the same terms and agreements as set forth in 2007.

WinLink 2000 demonstration at June meeting.

Gadget night at the July meeting.

Meeting adjourned at 9:05pm.
