The President’s Log
Hello
for those that don’t know me I am David Elliott president of the
Miami County Amateur Radio Club and my call is KD8EVI. I would
like to start by thanking those that have stepped up and helped
out with various recent projects I’ll name them later. I hope
to improve the club by shortening the business portion of the
monthly meeting by having officers meetings to bring
recommendations back to the membership at large.
I
would like to start having a program following the business
meeting to help bring the fun back into the meetings, on that
note I would like to hear your thoughts, ideas, and desires for
projects, or activities. We have made some progress toward
forming some committees every committee will have an officer on
it and I would like to see at least 4 other club members on
each, again I will name those committees and members later.
I
would like to thank Jeff KB8ZAE; Vice President, Scott KB8JOY;
Secretary, and last but not least Gary KB8ROL; treasurer, you
guys have made my transition very smooth your hard work is very
much appreciated Thank You.
Now as
promised the thanks first those that helped prep the comm. van
for disposal
Chuck KD3SQ;
Jeff KB8ZAE; and Gill KD8DQH, also Scott KB8JOY for doing the
leg work in getting the weight and costs.
Now for the
committees the goal is to have a minimum of five (5) members
with one being an officer. From the January meeting I have the
following committees and volunteers.
